The tree ferns principally grow in heat wet atmosphere in shady forest floor. fern genus brunoniana is rumored from some places of North East India as well as Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram and geographic region from time to time however not from Tripura. the current communication records it as initial report from the state of Tripura. It presents transient categorization description, distribution, causes of depletion, conservation methods and cultivation technique of this fern.
